FlyNamibia flights now bookable worldwide via GDS

You can now book a FlyNamibia flight not only directly, but also through a travel agent from anywhere in the world. The connections and additional services of the private Namibian airline are listed in the Global Distribution System (GDS) with immediate effect - thanks to the partnership with the South African airline Airlink.

Added to this is the new FlyNamibia website (flynam.com), which is jointly operated with Airlink. According to the press release, it is directly linked to the Amadeus Altea booking platform. This also makes it easier to reserve seats.

The deadline for the transition to the new booking system is 28 August. As indicated on the new and old websites, flights must still be booked via the previous website up to and including 27 August 2023.

FlyNamibia currently flies from Windhoek to three destinations in the north (Ondangwa, Rundu and Katima Mulilo) and two in the south of Namibia (Lüderitz and Oranjemund). Adding to this, the airline connects the tourist destinations Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Twyfelfontein and Etosha National Park. With Cape Town, it also has a regional destination in its flight schedule.

The South African airline Airlink has held a 40 per cent stake in FlyNamibia since September 2022. In addition to global bookability, the partnership offers a seamless connection of the flights of both airlines.

Airlink's flight network spans over 40 destinations, primarily in southern and eastern Africa. Southern Africa's largest private airline by its own account also has globally operating partners. These include airlines such as Air France, British Airways, Ethiopean Airlines, Lufthansa, Qantas, Qatar Airways and Untited Airlines.

Thanks to the partnership of private airlines, FlyNamibia flights are bookable for passengers and tour operators worldwide via website and Global Distribution System (GDS).
