Introduction: Wulfenite is usually bright yellow to orange. It is a fairly rare mineral, a lead molybdate. The Austrian mineralogist, Ernst Anton Wulfing (1860-1930), first discovered this mineral.

Distribution: Tsumeb Mine, Kuiseb Springs

Composition: Molybdate

Crystal system: Tetragonal

Lustre: Resinous, adamantine

Streak: White

Hardness: 2.75-3
