Fayalite
Introduction: Abundant amounts of olivine are found in dunites, peridotites and pyroxenites, as well as all ultramafic rocks. Fayalite was first discovered in the Fayal Islands in the Azores.
Distribution: Found in marbles in the Karibib-Usakos region.
