Introduction: Brucite was discovered by and named after Archibald Bruce, a professor and physician at Yale University. A soft mineral, crystals are characteristically flat, tabular and thin. It is found in both limestone and carbonatite environments.
Distribution: The Kombat Mine is the only reported location were brucite has been mined.
