Introduction: Little is known of Jalla's Sand snake (Psammophis jallae). They prefer a habitat of grassland and savannah.
Distribution: Northern Kalahari Desert as far north as Grootfontein.
Diet: Skinks and lacertids
Colouring: A light-grey to olive-brown back has a number of dark bands and yellow spots. The throat is blue-black in colour and the belly has a central broad stripe.
Breeding: Breeding habits are not known of this rare snake.
Size: Max SVL male 730mm, female 640mm.
