Hoeschs skink

Hoesch's skink are a slender, medium-sized skink.

Introduction: Hoesch's skink are a slender, medium-sized skink with a tail around twice the length of the body. They can be found in a dry savannah type habitat.

Distribution: Northern Namib Desert, Epupa Falls, Brandberg Mountain, Erongo region and Spitzkoppe.

Diet: Wasps, beetles and moths.

Colouring: A brown-grey upper body with crossbands that are formed from 4 rows of dark brown blotches. The belly is white and the throat is yellowish.

Breeding: Not known.

Size: Max SVL 100mm.
