Introduction: As you would expect, the name of the Slender Spade-Snouted worm lizard (Monopeltis sphenorhynchus) speaks for itself. Their preferred habitat is one of deep Kalahari sand.

Distribution: North-western Namibia including the Zambezi Region (formerly the Caprivi Strip), Victoria Falls, Linyati Marshes, Mudumu National Park, Mamili National Park, the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and Tsumkwe.

Diet: Termites.

Colouring: A uniform pale pink to white body all over.

Breeding: No reproductive habits are known for this species.

Size: Max SVL 326mm.
