Introduction: The Cape dwarf gecko (Lygodactylus capensis) is a large dwarf gecko that forages in low scrub and on dead trees, but can tolerate an urban environment.
Distribution: Zambezi Region (formerly the Caprivi Strip) from Rundu to Victoria Falls.
Diet: Ants and termites.
Colouring: Grey-brown back with a dark streak from the shoulder to the snout.
Breeding: Females lay clutches of 2 eggs in rock cracks or under loose bark.
Size: SVL 35 to 40mm. Max SVL 43mm.
