Yellow Satin Flowers (Grielum humifusum) have dark-green lobed leaves. Their cup-shaped flowers grow in flat sandy places along the banks of the Orange River and around the Fish River Canyon.
Duiker are fond of their roots, thick fleshy protein-rich food which are also a source of moisture as well as a food source. Flowering time is in the spring and the colours and time vary from region to region. They semi-frost hardy, require full sunshine and attract butterflies and bees.
