Disc lamp shell

The disc lamp shell (Discinisca tenuis) is nothing more than a pair of flat, brown, horny discs with an average diametre of 20mm. They attach themselves to each other to form rafts of shells that are washed up along the Namibian drift line from the mouth of the Orange River north to Luderitz as far as Sandwich Harbour.
