Introduction: The most distinguishing feature of Yellowjack Longlegs (Notogomphus praetorius) are their very long hind legs. They inhabit wooded streams in forest regions and dams.

Colouration: Distinctively marked body. There is a yellow line flanked by 2 black lines along the dorsum of the abdomen.
Breeding: Females appear at water for reproduction performances only.
