Shadow bridge widow
Introduction: Shadow-bridge Widows (Palpopleura portia) inhabit vegetated open pools.
Distribution: Otavi Mountains and Waterberg.
Colouration: Black wings. A distinctive pattern resembles the silhouette of a bridge.
Breeding: After emergence the development can be dangerous due to predators.
Flight season: January, February and May.
Conservation: Not threatened.
