Red basker
Introduction: Red Baskers (Urothemis assignata) prefer lush slow-moving waters.
Distribution: Von Bach Dam and the Naukluft Mountains.
Colouration: Dark red body and a small basal wing spot in the hindwing.
Breeding: Males guard females in tandem during oviposition.
Flight season: October to May.
Conservation: Not threatened.
