Okavango dropwing

Introduction: Okavango Dropwings (Trithemis sp.) can be observed in swampy sections of rivers

Distribution: Kavango and Kwando River systems.

Colouration: Similar to the Jaunty Dropwing but in this species the eyes are mostly brownish-violet.

Breeding: Larvae develop in under 70 days.

Flight season: August to April.

Max size: 34mm.

Conservation: Not threatened even through their distribution range is limited to a few rivers.
