Introduction: Mastigogomphus sp are a riverine species preferring fast-flowing waters.

Distribution: Near Rundu.

Identification: Parallel upper appendages in the male and an occipital plate of the head some 3 times wider than it is high.

Breeding: Emergence occurs in November and December.

Flight season: Not known.

Max size: 50mm.

Conservation: Insufficient data has been collected.
