Horned rockdweller
Introduction: There are 2 small, horn-like growths in the frons end of Horned Rock-dwellers (Bradinopyga cornuta), hence the common name. Adults remain out of sight by camouflaging themselves by settling on rocks.
Distribution: Waterberg, Erongo Mountains with scattered populations in north-central Namibia, Caprivi Strip and south of Epupa Falls.
Colouration: Body colours vary from brownish-grey, whitish-grey to black. Their wings have narrow brown tips
Breeding: Small rock pools with minimum vegetation are favoured breeding sites.
Flight season: January to April and October.
Conservation: Not threatened.
