Introduction: Friendly Hawkers (Aeshna minuscula) live in streams with overhanging vegetation in higher terrain.

Distribution: Records exist from Tsintsabis and the Otjiwarongo area and the Naukluft Mountains.

Colouration: Contrasting colouration of the thorax with yellow-green bands obvious between brownish background colours.

Breeding: Only 1 breeding location is known in the Namib-Naukluft Park where exuviae occurred in sedges at the edge of a deep pool.

Flight season: No data available.

Max size: Minuscula refers to the female's appendages, which are characteristic short at 2mm.

Conservation: The most threatened species in Namibia.
