Introduction: Little is known of the striking Butterfly Flutterer (Rhyothemis mariposa). Possibly they inhabit swamps.
Distribution: Northern Namibia.
Colouration: Black body with brownish eyes. The black wing patterns are very beautiful with golden spots on the forewing.
Breeding: Larvae have to leave water soon after emergence to feed and to avoid predators.
Flight season: Rainy season.
Conservation: Status unknown. 'Data deficient'.
