Introduction: Single-stitch Rangers (Kedestes monostichus) are also known as AWOL Skippers. They inhabit grassy regions, often where cattle farming has had an damaging effect on grass dependant species such as this.
Distribution: Rundu , Caprivi Strip.
Breeding/Larval food: Not confirmed.
Colouration: Differs from other spp of Kedestes by having only 1 series of submarginal spots on the underside of the hindwing. There is also an unbroken black border on the hindwing underside.
On the wing: Mainly from February to April.
Wingspan: Approx 30mm. Females are larger than males.
