Introduction: Rosa's Tree Nymph (Sallya rosa) can be observed fluttering along the edge of forests. Their irregular, gliding flight is punctuated regularly whilst they sit on trunks or branches of trees (hence the common name).
Distribution: Katima Mulilo and the Zambezi Region (formerly the Caprivi Strip) .
Breeding/Larval food: Euphorbiaceae spp.
Colouration: Violet upperside and golden orange underside.
On the wing: Throughout the year.
Wingspan: 40mm.
