Patricia Blues (Lepidochrysops patricia) are known to fly quickly over a grass and bushveld habitat and on to hilltops.

Introduction: Patricia Blues (Lepidochrysops patricia) are known to fly quickly over a grass and bushveld habitat and on to hilltops.

Distribution: Specimens have been recorded from Victoria Falls extending to Windhoek.

Breeding/Larval food: Larvae have been noted in ants' nests. Larval food includes Lantana camara, which has grown in the Waterberg, Otavi and Rundu areas.

Colouration: Blue with some fore and hindwing spots.

On the wing: From September to April.

Wingspan: Approx 25 to 30mm.
