Introduction: Dusky Blues (P. sichela sichela) prefer high perches on trees to fly down to muddy patches to drink.
Distribution: Northern Namibia.
Breeding/Larval food: The violet to mauve flowers of various thorn trees such as the cork bush (Mundulea sericea) bloom from October to May.
Colouration: Dark blue uppersides with distinctive irregular white lines of the underside.
On the wing: During the warmer summer months.
Wingspan: 25 to 30mm.
