Introduction: Dark Elvins (Sarangesa seineri) love the shade. They also fly close the ground under large trees. Thorn and savannah habitats are preferred and they are often observed on steep hillsides and dry river beds.
Distribution: Can be observed in Okaukuejo, Halali and Namutoni Restcamps in Etosha National Park .
Breeding/Larval food: Larval food plants are unknown.
Colouration: Mottled brown uppersides and buff to red-ochre undersides. Distinctive white blaze on the antennae below the club.
On the wing: Throughout the year.
Wingspan: Between 20 and 40mm.
