Introduction:The many-spined ctenopoma (Ctenopoma multispine) is a carnivorous freshwater fish found in the slow-moving waters of West Africa. It is renowned for its unique appearance, resembling a dead leaf, which helps it camouflage and ambush prey.

Distribution: The many-spined ctenopoma is native to regions in West Africa, including countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and Ivory Coast.

Diet: Being a predator, the many-spined ctenopoma primarily feeds on small fish and aquatic insects. It waits patiently for its prey and lunges with lightning speed when an unsuspecting meal swims by.

Size: The many-spined ctenopoma can grow up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length.
