Introduction: The Black-Cheeked Lovebird (Agapornis nigrigenis) is a small parrot known for its striking black cheek patches. It inhabits dry woodlands and savannas, feeding on seeds, fruits, and berries.

Description: The Black-Cheeked Lovebird is a small parrot with predominantly green plumage. It has a bright red bill and striking black cheek patches, which are distinctive features of the species.

Habitat: This bird is commonly found in dry woodland and savanna habitats, often near water sources. It prefers areas with baobab trees and other large trees, where it can find suitable nesting sites.

Diet: The Black-Cheeked Lovebird is primarily herbivorous, feeding on a variety of seeds, fruits, and berries. It is known to be a crop pest in some areas where it forages on cultivated crops.

behaviour: This species is highly social and often seen in small flocks, flying together in a coordinated manner. It communicates through various calls and vocalizations.

Reproduction: The Black-Cheeked Lovebird nests in tree cavities or abandoned nests of other bird species. The female lays a clutch of eggs, and both parents take turns incubating the eggs and caring for the young chicks.
