Diet: Surface-dives for sardines, herrings, mackerel, crustaceans and squid.

Description: The largest albatross from this family. White head and body, grey back, white rump. Has an 'inappropriate' reputation for being shy at sea.

Breeding: Extralimital.

Size: 100cm.

Weight: 4.4kg.

Wingspan: 2.5m.
