Namibia's capital Windhoek has a new address for dining out. The Windhoek Sky Restaurant opened its doors at the end of May. It serves exquisite dishes in an upscale ambience.
Whereby 'upscale' is to be understood literally. The restaurant is located on the fourth floor of the Independence Memorial Museum . Guests enjoy a marvellous panoramic view over Windhoek.

The Windhoek Sky Restaurant is open all day - from 8.00 am to 11.00 pm. It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen closes at 10.00 pm. With around 180 seats, it is also suitable for larger groups or special events.
The menu is extremely extensive, so that every palate is sure to get its money's worth. The meat options range from Wagyu beef to game, lamb, pork and poultry. Several fish, seafood and vegetarian dishes can also be found on the menu, as well as pasta and burgers. There are several dishes for children.
The menu is garnished with unusual culinary creations. For example, crispy snails in a roasted onion sauce as a starter. Or 'New York Strip' steak with rosemary infusion, gorgonzola cream sauce and sweet carrots as a main course.
The fourth floor of the Independence Memorial Museum was intended for a restaurant from the outset. It offers the opportunity to round off a visit to the museum with a decent meal at lunchtime or in the evening.
