The BBC's wildlife magazine 'Discover Wildlife' is looking for the best 'wildlife' photo of the year. On a website for the competition 'Wildlife Photography Awards 2023', the magazine presents the ten finalists in each of five categories.
In two of the categories, shots from Namibia are among the top 10. The category 'Plants & Fungi' is headed by a photo of a quiver tree at the Fish River Canyon. In the category 'Mobile Phone Camera' there is a typical motif from Dead Vlei near Sossusvlei.
With their vote Namibia fans can help the motifs from their dream country to win. According to the rules of the competition, the picture with the most votes will be the winner of its respective category.
