Premiere for an extraordinary run through nature east of Windhoek: The first Gondwana Moonraker Ridge Trail will take place on the Moonraker farm at the foot of the Auas Mountains in mid-September. The organisers are Gondwana Collection Namibia and Moonraker Outdoor Adventure Restcamp.
According to Gondwana's announcement, the terrain is as appealing as it is challenging: typical African bush landscape with hills, valleys and riverbeds. The run will be on four-wheel drive tracks and single tracks, even cross-country. The distances are 20 km, 10 km and 5 km.
Prizes will be awarded to the three best male and female runners of the 20 km and 10 km distances. Gondwana and its partners have donated vouchers worth a total of 72,000 Namibia dollars.
But it is also worth a visit for partners or friends who are not running. The Moonraker Outdoor Adventure Restcamp is situated in a 20 km² nature reserve. You can enjoy the farm atmosphere of the camp or explore the bush landscape on a walk.
